You must be 17 on the first day of your first session at the ELI.

Apply to the ELI and send all documents. (See “What do I need to apply?” on this page). We will send you a transfer-in form. The international advisor (DSO) at your current school must complete it.

Next, send the completed transfer-in form to the ELI. We will send you an admission letter. Give this letter to your international advisor.

Finally, when you arrive on the UA campus, pick up your new I-20 at International Student and Scholar Services (105 B.B. Comer Hall).

As soon as the ELI receives all of your admission documents, we will issue your I-20 in two or three business days. We will send it by email (free).

If you want an F-1 student visa, you must first have your I-20 form and admission letter from the ELI. Then go to the SEVIS I-901 website to pay for your SEVIS fee.

Complete the DS-160 application, pay the visa application fee, and schedule an interview with the US embassy/consulate near you. For more information, go to Study in the States.

Due to the current situation with COVID-19, tuition scholarships have been temporarily suspended; no applications are currently being accepted.

If you would like to pay before you arrive, there are two payment options: myBama account or Flywire.

After you receive your CWID number via e-mail, you will set up an account at http:/mybama.ua.edu. This will be your student portal for e-mail, registering for classes, and payment for your student charges. You can pay your tuition from this portal by credit or debit card.

If you wish to pay by bank transfer from any country, you may choose to use <a \

You can also pay by debit or credit card using Flywire at http://ua.flywire.com.
