Rebecca Beamer, a 2016 Master of Fine Arts graduate from Tuscaloosa, received the research award.  She will gather personal narratives of women in Zambia.


Brandon Hooks, a 2016 graduate in International Studies and Economics with a minor in Spanish, from Wetumka, AL, will be teaching in Spain.


Perrin Lowery, a 2016 graduate in Elementary Education and German with a minor in the Blount Undergraduate Initiative, from Tuscaloosa, will be teaching in Germany.


Evan McIntyre, a 2016 graduate in Elementary Education from Collegeville, PA, will be teaching in South Korea.


Christian Shannon, a 2016 graduate in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Business from Dallas, TX, will be teaching in Poland.


Abigail Thompson, a 2016 graduate in Applied Economics and Political Science from Columbia, MO, will be teaching in Russia.


Pandora White, a doctoral student in Chemistry from Fayette, MS received the research award.  She will investigate the mechanisms of action of trivalent chromium and bitter melon in enhancing insulin signaling in rats in Poland.
