The Capstone International Center is celebrating Peace Corps Week 2017 by hosting an event that brings together Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) and interested UA students for a unique information session. Around the World in 60 Minutes will feature RPCVs who served in various job sectors in Madagascar, Swaziland, Gabon, Senegal, Guyana, and Senegal. The Peace Corps is often called “the toughest job you will ever love” and these volunteers will be sharing about their experiences integrating into different cultures abroad and how it impacted their lives.
The University of Alabama has an on-campus Peace Corps Recruiter who is available to meet with students and discuss the the application process and benefits of joining the Peace Corps. She also shares information through classroom visits, tabling, information sessions, application workshops and office hours. For more information about this post-graduate opportunity, please reach Jody O’Dell at email@example.com.
Peace Corps Week is February 26 – March 4, 2017. This year’s theme is Highlighting Hospitality: How does your Peace Corps Country Make People Feel Welcome? RPCVs around the world are gathering to share their stories of being welcomed into countries near and far, and how the Peace Corps experience can enhance a person’s life in seen and unforeseen ways.
Join UA Campus Recruiter Jody O’Dell for this exciting event!
