FRANCE
Mid-May thru June

The University of Alabama will be conducting
its 36th consecutive summer program in
France, from May 24 to June 28, 2009. The
Alabama in France program features a
week-long excursion in Paris followed by
four weeks of concentrated study in Tours
(while living with a French family). In Paris
and Tours, participants will be immersed in
the language and culture of France.
Language and culture exposure reinforce
each other, resulting in an optimal learning
experience.

322 on UA campus)
FR 380 Special Topics: Language, or Literature
FR 480 Special Topics: Language, Literature,
or Civilization
FR 484 Advanced Conversation and Phonetics
(equivalent of FR 421 on UA campus)
(Please note that any student having
already taken an equivalent course on UA
campus can still take any of the above
courses for credit and vice versa.)

FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS
Students planning to use financial aid to fund their overseas
study should pick up a program cost breakdown form from
Capstone International in room 135 B. B. Comer prior to applying
for this program. Students should take the form to
Financial Aid and meet with a counselor. If Financial Aid determines
an award will be made, the student must indicate on
the overseas study application form that they plan to use these
funds to pay for overseas study.
