LONDON INTERNSHIP -COMMUNICATION

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Virtually every major can be accommodated through this internship program. Each student will be enrolled in COM 495 Special Topics-Cross Cultural Organizational Communication, for 3:00 credit hours. This course fulfills the academic component of the program.

COM 495 Special Topics-Cross Cultural Organizational Communication for 3 credit hours.This course was designed by CCIS and is taught in conjunction with EUSA faculty. The course will meet every Friday for two hours. A Communications faculty member will evaluate coursework and determine the appropriate letter grade for each student. This course is included in the program cost.

Communication students can apply for the following courses to earn an additional three hours:
APR 381 Advertising or PR Practicum
COM 490 Communication Studies Internship
JN 382 Journalism Internship
TCF 387 Telecommunication and Film Internship

Students planning to use financial aid to fund their overseas study should contact Vickey Phillips (vickey.phillips@ua.edu, 205-348-8760, 135 B.B. Comer Hall) for a financial aid letter which details the cost of the program and estimates expenses not included in the program. Students should take the letter to Financial Aid and meet with a counselor. If Financial Aid determines an award will be made, they will prepare an Anticipated Aid form for you. Please bring this form to CIAP. Please remember to include your CWID and name of program on the form.

LONDON INTERNSHIP -Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration (C&BA)

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Students in virtually every major can participate in this internship program with permission from his/her college division's internship advisor. The courses below (up to 6 credit hours) are included in the program cost.

REQUIRED
Management 491/591: Cross-Cultural Fluency in a Business Context, 3 hours. Designed by C&BA and taught in conjunction with EUSA faculty, this class will meet every Friday for two hours. Dr. Chad Hilton, UA Director of International Business in C&BA will evaluate coursework and determine the appropriate final letter grade for each student. Prerequisites: a minimum of 61 earned hours and a minimum 2.5 grade point average (GPA).
OPTIONAL. Students can earn 3 additional credit hours (for a total of 6) in the C&BA courses below, graded as pass/fail. Tuition for one of four courses below is included in the program cost. Prerequisites: a minimum of 61 earned hours, enrolled into the upper division, with a minimum 2.5 GPA. You can choose from the internship courses below:

Management 491/591 Cross-Cultural Fluency in a Business Context, 3 hours (required).
Marketing 492/592 Marketing Internship, 3 hours
Management 492/592: Management Internship, 3 hours
Finance 492/592 Finance Internship, 3 hours
Accounting 492/592 Accounting Internship, 3 hours
