LONDON INTERNSHIP

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
In collaboration with European Union Studies Association (EUSA), The University of Alabama's Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration (C&BA), College of Communication & Information Science (CCIS), and UA's Capstone International Academic Programs, are pleased to offer a seven-week internship program in London for eligible juniors and seniors. The London Internship program accommodates most majors, with placements across greater London in virtually all industry sectors including financial services, marketing and media organizations, as well as in schools, hospitals, and theatres. Although the internship positions are unpaid, the program offers three hours of UA course credit and an invaluable addition to any student's resumé.

Students must provide a resumé and other required documents prior to an on-campus interview with EUSA staff.  The interview is essential and is used to place interns based on the individual skills, interests, and professional goals of the student as well as the project needs and work cycles of the internship sponsors. EUSA ensures that students are placed in internships that directly reflect or relate to their courses of study to ensure quality and academic relevance. Students will work a total of 192 hours and will undergo two evaluations.

TCF 387 Telecommunication and Film Internship, 3 hours

Students planning to use financial aid to fund their overseas study should contact Vickey Phillips (vickey.phillips@ua.edu, 205-348-8760, 135 B.B. Comer Hall) for a financial aid letter which details the cost of the program and estimates expenses not included in the program. Students should take the letter to Financial Aid and meet with a counselor. If Financial Aid determines an award will be made, they will prepare an Anticipated Aid form for you. Please bring this form to CIAP. Please remember to include your CWID and name of program on the form.
