The University of Alabama’s Capstone International Center (CIC) is responsible for internationalization efforts at The University of Alabama. The Associate Provost for International Education and Global Outreach, Dr. Teresa Wise, leads the CIC along with the support of the CIC’s Leadership Team and the International Education Committee.

CIC and its three units are located in B.B. Comer Hall. CIC serves as a resource center for the University’s vital international linkages by supporting and reviewing the development of agreements and partnerships with universities, foreign governments, NGOs, and U.S. government agencies abroad; promoting the involvement of UA faculty, staff and students in internationalization of the campus and in international research, development projects, and related activities; and seeking and facilitating access to international funding opportunities.

CIC comprises of Education Abroad (EA), the English Language Institute (ELI) and International Services (IS). CIC works in close partnership with Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions to recruit a growing number of international students at UA each year.
