Campus Partners Capstone International Center works with numerous partners across campus in an effort to strengthen UA’s exemplary international education. Cherry Blossom/ Sakura Festival Each year for the past 30 years, the CIC, along with the sponsors and participants, holds a Sakura Festival in early spring. International Education Week International Education Week occurs annually and is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. Outreach The Capstone International Center works to involve the local community in outreach projects which are meant to internationalize the UA campus as well as Tuscaloosa. Global Studies Certificate The University of Alabama’s Global Studies Certificate (GSC) is designed to introduce the undergraduate student to the cultural, economic, physical, and political aspects of being a world citizen in the 21st century. Fulbright Opportunities are available for both faculty and students through the U.S. Fulbright Program.
