Shelton State Community College Adult Education Programs

ESL and GED programs are offered by the Adult Education Program at Shelton State.

Online classes available by Zoom.  Days and times to be determined.

Conversational English classes are free. They are taught by certified volunteers through the International Ministry of First Baptist Tuscaloosa. All classes meet in the basement of First Baptist’s main building, beneath the Chapel and Sanctuary.

Everyone is welcome! All levels offered.

Free English Classes
Tuesday  9:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Located just across the river from downtown, our classes serve the Tuscaloosa and Northport areas.  Multiple levels offered and no pre-registration needed.  Everyone is welcome!

Free ESL classes are held every Tuesday from 9:30-11:30 from August to May. Students may join at any time. Light refreshments will be available during our break time. Childcare and bus services are provided. Register in person at the beginning of the semester or through the website at: https://www.northportbaptist.org/esl-minsitries.
