United Way

Every year, United Way of West Alabama hosts Day of Action, a single day where volunteers come together to improve our community.  There are a variety of projects working with nonprofits and schools ranging from light office work to larger landscaping projects.

In 2016, the Capstone International Center participated in Day of Action by forming two teams of staff and international students who lent their time and skills to a local school and The Humane Society of West Alabama.  The volunteer projects were a great way to see the Tuscaloosa community and give back to organizations who depend on volunteers to help them meet their mission.
