The ELI offers the following activities. There are usually 6 activities each session.

  • Afternoon trips in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham,
  • Weekend trips
    • Chattanooga, Tennessee
    • Atlanta, Georgia
    • Panama City, Florida
    • New Orleans, Louisiana
  • Afternoon activities
    • holiday parties
    • games
    • arts and crafts
    • hiking
    • picnics
  • Cultural and Language Exchange Program (CLEP) which provides students with conversation partners in a relaxed environment. Visit the ELI office, 101 B.B. Comer Hall if interested or visit ELI Forms page to complete an application.
  • University sponsored events include volunteer activities, sports games, water parks, concerts, musical productions, educational activities, etc. You can find some of the university sponsored events on UA’s Events page.

Most ELI activities are included in your tuition. However, some ticket, transportation, food, souvenirs, and accommodation fees are not covered in certain trips.

You can sign up for activities in the ELI office, 101 B.B. Comer Hall, Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 4:45 p.m.
