What is Pathway to UA?

An undergraduate conditional-admission program for students who:
➢ Want to earn a Bachelor’s degree at UA
➢ Meet the academic qualifications for undergraduate admission at UA
➢ Are non-native speakers of English who need to improve their English
➢ Want to take courses for academic credit while studying English

ADVANTAGES

➢ Enroll in one-semester or two-semester program (or in the “PrePathway
to UA” program) depending on level of English.
➢ Receive full admission to degree program upon successful completion.
➢ Earn 8–17 hours of academic credit while studying English.
➢ Begin in August, January, or May.

COSTS: AY 2017/18

➢ One-semester program = $14,544
(with 14 total credit hours earned)
➢ Two-semester program = $22,830
(with 17 total credit hours earned)

Projected costs are based on successful
progression through the program.

                Pathway to UA

                 Program Information

Students can complete Pathway to UA in one or two semesters, earn up to 17 academic credit hours, and then transition into full-time study for their undergraduate degree program at UA.

Admission Requirements Include:

  • High school diploma with a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Minimum English proficiency:
    • TOEFL iBT 61 or IELTS 5.5 or Level 5/6 placement in the UA-ELI Intensive English Program
    • No minimum required for Pre-Pathway to UA Program
      • Students who do not meet the minimum English requirement will study full-time English until ready for Pathway to UA
