Alabama Model United Nations Conference (ALMUN)

What is ALMUN?

Alabama Model United Nations Conference (ALMUN) is an annual weekend-long conference that simulates United Nations committees and debate. These simulations offer high school students from across the Southeast the opportunity to engage with global issues, understand the role of the United Nations in world affairs, and generally improve their skills of diplomacy and collaboration. This year will be the eighteenth iteration of the conference!
Since its inception, ALMUN has hosted schools from Alabama, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Florida. We hope to continue growing our reach throughout the region and improving our delegates’ conference experiences. We are also excited to foster the development of young delegates in the Southeast through our robust and unique committee offerings. This year, we will offer three types of committee experience: General Assembly, Specialized Assembly (including an Ad Hoc), and Crisis.
If you are a UA student interested in staffing ALMUN as a chair, co-chair, or committee/conference staff, please email Saidah Hoyte at almun.dg@gmail.com. For more information about the conference and registration, email Aiden Glenn at almun.sg@gmail.com and visit @almun_conference on Instagram!

This year’s conference will be held on March 6-8, 2026.
